Dear couples, let’s capture beautiful photos you actually want to see from your wedding. I’ve put together this Kent wedding photography guide to showcase my wedding service.
If you’re wondering what it’s going to be like as husband and wife, I’ll show you how it starts with your own bespoke wedding story.
Feel reassured in the fact that I’ve shot 100s of weddings and thousands of wedding photos across all the popular kent wedding venues.
Share in the satisfaction felt by many brides who consistently praise my service with kind words.
I’ve had bridal photography featured in publications including ‘Vogue magazine’ and ‘Your Kent Wedding’, People love what I bring to their wedding day and I invite you to read on and see how it can work for you too.
A Little bit of why
Hand-made photo stories that bring feelings to life
I hope you agree that photos evoke feelings. I’d love the opportunity to be the best Kent wedding photographer for you and help you relive your big day.
No other service on your wedding day is as personal as mine. As your photographer, I’ll be with you for the majority of the day and when you see the photos, it’s going to feel like I was in a hundred places at once.
Authentic wedding photography is about why that tear rolled down your cheek, the feel on your fingers as they clasped your partner’s face for that first kiss, the celebration of holding hands as they slice the wedding cake. It’s about the speeches that made your jaw ache with laughter, the ouch of stepping on toes during your first dance – the cuddle your dad gave your mum that you haven’t seen in years. I’m going to collect a shot of everything I see.
When all this comes together, it’s my belief that this can be described as perfect wedding photography.
”We absolutely love our photos. They are perfect and reflect our amazing day so accurately. The artistic way you shot our photos is incredible and each one is so special to us... he was so kind and patient with us.Codie bender | Kent Bride
Made for you
Crafted photographic style
Enjoy detailed documentary photography with a dose of modern contemporary portraits when you book me. The majority of my images are shot in a candid and very natural style.
The documentary aspect of my work means I shoot as unobtrusively as possible without orchestrating or setting up shots during the key events on the day. Usually I am shooting from outside of your eye line to get natural images right as they unfold.
I aim to be fully involved in everything happening, but peripheral to how it happens. The images I create are not random but tell your story while remaining mindful of capturing everyone else attending your wedding.
Together, we’ll explore your venue, catch the best light and create stylish, delightful photography in a style that reflects your personality as a couple..
Above all, I’m not trying to replicate photos from other weddings, but deliver a bespoke shoot that adds a bit of fun and adventure to your day.
I’ll give you the majority of photos in colour and a great selection in black and white, all finished individually by hand.
Time well spent
Natural, not forced
I really want to photograph your day as naturally as possible, which I feel this is best achieved without overtly formal photos.
Most couples find the act of posing for many family group shots tiresome and distracting, with this consuming valuable time away from your wedding celebration.
I’ll help you focus on those must-have family shots but in a fluid style without it turning into a lengthy drag.
I want to leave you with maximum time to party, and me to capture your family and guests just being themselves.
What I help you avoid
You’re likely here right now because you hope to avoid mundane wedding photos.
If you like old-school wedding photography with star jumps and tossed hats, or think that shouting ‘cheese’ creates more natural smiles – I’m probably not the ideal photographer for you.
I aim to create timeless photos that will not look out of fashion in years to come.
What I give to you
You want a level of modern quality, creativity and service that leaves you feeling confident, delighted and impressed.
You want photography that straight-up looks terrific and memorable and doesn’t feel like having school photos taken.
You want to look your very best and look back with fondness on every hour of the day that you remember – and parts of the day you inevitably missed.
You actually do care about your wedding photos and are not just going through the motions.
You want a photo legacy and an investment for both of you.
You want to have fun with your photographer and know that your guests will feel the same.
What to expect
I typically provide clients with around 400 plus images on average which I believe provides a considered and meaningful story of your day. I concentrate on variety not repetition during the 9-10hrs I typically spend with you on the wedding day.
Within 2 weeks following your wedding you can expect to receive a link to your beautiful online gallery of photos and your presentation USB of digital photo files. Your online gallery may be shared with anyone you wish. There are no restrictions on (non-commercial) usage. On the USB I provide your images in their full resolution for any printing you may wish to do. You are free to use your images for sharing and printing with family and friends as much as you like without my permission or additional usage fees. I provide sturdy, high quality USBs that are reliable and long lasting to keep your photo files safe. They look really great too!
Ultimately, I ensure you have easy 24/7 access to your photos anywhere with the online gallery and a robust physical storage solution and viewing option via the USB.
It’s so easy to access and view your wedding photos that I urge you not to forget about printing some – you’ll appreciate them a whole lot more that way. Better still, include an album or print box with your booking for the ultimate keepsake Heirloom.
Bespoke albums the Lovepear way, ethically made.
The definition of a photo means that it exists on paper. I believe you will never regret having a proper wedding album added to your coverage.
Digital screens can never give you the feel or pleasure of holding a real print. Even better than that is a book made with the finest attention to presenting photos specifically.
I teamed up with UK based Folio Albums. Folio produce hand-crafted, indulgent books of the finest quality, made to last through generations in a timeless style.
As your photographer, I design your album for you with your selection of images in a clean and tidy design. You do of course get to approve the final layout.
My albums are sold in 10x10in or 12x12in format and come with a minimum of 30 sublime lay flat pages of the highest quality print and gallery paper. Parent albums are also available in 8×8 format. You’ll also get to choose from a range of inspirational leather colours for the cover.
Pre-wedding and engagement shoots on location
I appreciate that having a camera pointed at you can feel somewhat intimidating, and some folks just feel uncomfortable at the thought of having professional photos of them. If you identify with this and want to get in some cool pictures and fun practice, I recommend spending an hour with me on a pre-shoot.
Couples consistently tell me how helpful and enjoyable these shoots are for them. Come the big day you’ll be free of photo nerves and I’ll be just like one of your friends with their camera.
