Married at The Orangery in Maidstone

A popular wedding venue in Kent is the Orangery, especially if you’re after landscaped gardens complete with lake and tumbling waterfall.  The opportunities for wedding photography at The Orangery makes this place one of my favourites in Maidstone.

Couple: Molly and Harry

Ceremony and reception: The Orangery, Turkey Court, Turkey Mill, Ashford Road, Maidstone, Kent, ME14 5PP

If you’re a bride who fancies a really memorable walk down the isle,  The Orangery is the place to get hitched.   I’m not sure I can think of another venue where the bride gets to walk across a cute bridge above the river Len to meet her husband to be.

Molly’s transformation into a bride on this morning was amazing,  so no surprise that Harry let the tears rip when he caught sight of her.   I didn’t have to give much direction to this couple with the photos that followed ,  they had such genuine love for each other the photography was effortless.

The ceremony took place inside The Garden Room which looks out over the landscaped gardens.   While the guests enjoyed their drinks out on the lawn,  I took Molly and Harry off to explore the grounds and take the romantic portraits they wanted.  There are so many delightful photo settings to explore here the more time you allocate for your bridge and groom portraits the better.

Adjacent to the Garden Room ,  the evening reception then begun with the indoor meal and entertainment in what is a nice and cosy environment, before photography concluded as everyone took to the dancefloor to bust their moves.

During the best man speeches there where a lot of jokes about baked beans directed at Harry – I never did find out what that was all about…  luckily the reception meal took no inspiration.

Picturesque wedding photography at The Orangery.

Molly and Harry booked in for all day photography which provided coverage from bridal preps right through to the first dances.   They received a memorable collection of with just over 600 images.  Here are some favourites:
