Winters Barns is one of my favourite wedding venues for photography. The grounds are a popular go-to for engaged couples from across the Kent region.
For outdoor weddings in particular, the courtyard and gardens are sure to prove enticing and welcoming.
Couple: Angharad and Glenn.
Ceremony and reception: Winters Barns, Winters Farm, Nackington Road, Canterbury, Kent CT4 7AY
Time to rewind a few years to this enchanting wedding with the fabulous Mr and Mrs Moynes.
I arrived to blazing sunshine perfect for the outdoor ceremony before heading round to the private cottages and salon where Angharad and Glenn were getting prepared.
Unlike most weddings, having the bride and groom getting ready within a short walk of each other meant I could photograph both parties rather than just bridal preps.
A parade of flower girls and bridesmaids presented Angharad to the expectant and excited groom, thrilled to see his stunning wife-to-be as she approached through the venue’s iconic marriage archway and down the aisle.
The rest of the day went by in a flash – as is always the case post ceremony, but not before we explored the many photo opportunities afforded by this venue and its surrounding grounds. Angharad and Glenn particularly seemed to enjoy the opportunity to step away from their guests for some contemporary portraits.
Point of note, I don’t think I had ever seen so many women gathered to catch a bouquet toss!
Wedding photography at Winters Barns.
Angharad and Glenn opted for all day photo coverage, from bridal preps until just after the first dances. I presented them with 650 memorable images of their wedding adventure.
